From   the   beginning

Wonko's was opened by Chad Seger in November of 2005, with a focus on collectible, vintage and rare toys, specializing in hard-to-find action figures and statues.  The business changed hands to the Dow family in July, 2009, who reorganized the store to allow for more gaming and shifted the focus to an even mix of toys and games, with a nightly focus on bringing local gamers into the store to play and creating a social element to the store.  In November of 2010, Wonko's moved across the street from its original location into a larger facility to make room for bigger tournaments and a greater selection of both toys and games.

Where   we   are   now

In March of 2019, Wonko's was purchased by Becky and Seth Roland.  Along with Store Manager Matt Prinzivalli, we maintain the welcoming, inclusive atmosphere of Wonko's, and a full calendar of regular and special events.  In the first few months of ownership, the new management team cleaned up the store and created more gaming space by rearranging the store and de-emphasizing the toy business.  The store continues to focus on board games, Magic, D&D, Warhammer and other miniatures, and we are always looking for ways to expand the store selection, including children's offerings and geeky toys.  While we have completed our initial goal of rearranging the store and cleaning up, we are still always a work in process as we find the best ways to serve our customers and provide a fun, safe, family-friendly environment for gaming.
